Locum Tenens Trauma / Acute Care Surgery Physician Assistant – Bellingham, Washington
HPA Healthcare is seeking experienced Trauma / Acute Care Surgery Physician Assistants for a locum tenens opportunity in Bellingham, Washington.
Start: 11/09/2026
Initial Duration: 13 weeks
Openings: 3
Schedule: Approximately 3–4 day shifts per week
Typical Hours: 6:30 AM–4:30 PM or 6:30 AM–6:30 PM
Call: None
Setting: Inpatient + Outpatient
Patient Volume: Approximately 18/day
EMR: Epic
Pay: $145/hour
This is a hands-on Trauma and Acute Care Surgery position with responsibilities that may include trauma response, initial ED evaluation, surgical admissions, ICU patient management, inpatient rounding, surgical first assisting, discharge planning and post-discharge clinic.
Providers may be the initial responder to trauma patients when the trauma surgeon is in the OR, so candidates should have strong recent trauma, acute care surgery or comparable surgical experience.
Requirements- Physician Assistant
- Recent Trauma/Acute Care Surgery or comparable surgical experience strongly preferred
- BLS
- ACLS
- ATLS
- Epic proficiency
- Comfortable with trauma response and acute surgical patients
- Comfortable with ICU admissions and management
- Surgical first-assist experience
- Ability to work with appropriate autonomy
- Washington license preferred but not required to be presented
- Facility will consider candidates requiring Washington licensure
