Position: Subject Specific Academy Teachers - Summer School

Fixed-Term | July–August 2026

The King’s School, one of the UK’s oldest and most prestigious independent schools, is seeking inspiring Subject‑Specific Academy Teachers to join our thriving Summer School. Welcoming students aged 8–17 from the UK and around the world, our programme blends high‑quality academic learning with exceptional co‑curricular enrichment.

As an Academy Teacher, you will deliver engaging, expert‑led sessions within one of our specialist academies, which are:

  • Sports
  • Music
  • Pre‑University Preparation
  • IELTS Preparation and Exam
  • Art & Design
  • Business & Entrepreneurship
  • Foundation in STEM
  • International Relations

You will design and deliver imaginative lessons tailored to mixed‑ability groups, fostering curiosity, creativity, and confidence. Alongside your teaching, you will support students pastorally, helping them thrive within a warm, structured, and internationally diverse boarding environment.

You will monitor progress, contribute to assessments and reports, collaborate with the Academic Director, and uphold the values and safeguarding standards of an independent school setting. We seek enthusiastic, knowledgeable educators with subject expertise and a passion for working with young people.

Residential accommodation and meals are provided for all summer staff.
