Qualifications:

• Valid 4.0 EIPA or current RID certification required
• Demonstrated experience as a school-based or educational Sign Language Interpreter
• Ability to facilitate clear, effective communication between students, staff, and peers
• Proficient in both receptive and expressive American Sign Language (ASL)
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 interpreting services to a student in classroom and school activities
• Accurately convey spoken information using ASL and voice interpreting in academic settings
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and special education teams to foster student success
• Adapt communication style to meet individual student needs and educational goals
• Support student participation, understanding, and engagement in all school environments
