The Elementary Assistant Principal will maintain overall school site operations, enforce district and state policies, ensure a safe environment, coordinate site activities, communicate information to staff, and address situations, problems, or conflicts.

• Provides instructional leadership and professional development to all staff members.
• Assists the principal in developing a positive, effective learning climate.
• Assists in maintaining student discipline and handles special cases as necessary.
• Assists with the evaluation of certificated staff members.
• Works on committees pertinent to the operation of the district.
• Supervises the reporting and monitoring of student attendance and works with the principal for investigative follow‑up actions.
• Works with faculty in compiling the annual budget requests.

• Master’s degree required with a major in educational administration or an appropriate related field.
• At least three years of successful experience as a classroom teacher.
• A valid state certificate to practice as a school administrator.

• Personal leave cash‑out at per diem (in June if elected).
• Ten days of vacation cash‑out at per diem (in January or June if elected).
• $150 cell phone stipend (paid monthly).
