Make a meaningful impact as a part-time Special Education Teacher working with K-8 students in the greater New Haven, CT area. This contract opportunity offers a supportive environment where your expertise and passion for individualized instruction help foster student growth and achievement. With a manageable caseload at two convenient locations, you’ll dedicate five hours per day, Monday through Friday, to making a difference in the lives of young learners.

• Valid Professional Educator License (PEL)
• School Social Worker endorsement required
• Experience with K-8 students is preferred
• Strong commitment to differentiated instruction and student advocacy
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

• Provide direct instruction and support to K-8 students with a range of learning needs
• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to maximize student potential
• Assess student progress, adjusting interventions as needed
• Foster an inclusive, positive learning environment
• Maintain accurate records and document student growth
• Serve at two locations, spending approximately five hours per day at the schools
