Permitting Specialist
As a Permitting Specialist, you are the face of FCIS permitting jurisdictions. Track & Follow Through:
Monitor permit progress from start to finish, ensuring deadlines are met and updates are communicated clearly.
Build Relationships:
Connect with city and state agencies, internal teams, and external partners to keep permitting processes moving smoothly.
Research Jurisdiction Standards:
Dive into local permitting requirements for each assigned project. Your research ensures designs are compliant, efficient, and ready for approval.
Contribute to the Design & Engineering Library:
Document your findings, insights, and successful strategies to help build a smarter, stronger permitting knowledge base for the entire team.
Stay Organized:
Use reports, checklists, and follow-ups to stay on top of tasks and optimize your time.
Problem Solve Creatively:
Identify roadblocks early and work with your team to find smart, effective solutions.
Learn & Grow:
Work closely with experienced teammates to build your permitting knowledge and develop your career.
A positive attitude and a willingness to learn
Strong communication skills—both written and verbal
Ability to manage your time and juggle multiple tasks
Comfort with repetitive tasks and a knack for staying organized
Basic understanding of permitting or interest in learning
Familiarity with AutoCAD or willingness to train
Authorized to work in the U.S. and able to pass a background check and drug screening
Telecom, utilities, or construction experience required
