Associate Communication Engineer
OverviewPosition in the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) organization, joining the P-8 Mission Systems team in Kent, Washington. Design, develop, test, and maintain hardware across the full development lifecycle for government and international programs. The position is 100% onsite.
Responsibilities- Learn, develop, and validate requirements for communication, navigation, sensor, electronic warfare, and other electromagnetic systems and components.
- Learn, develop and validate electromagnetic requirements for electrical/electronic, mechanical systems, interconnects, and structures.
- Learn and develop architectures to integrate complex systems and components into higher-level systems and platforms.
- Assist in trade studies, modeling, simulation and other analysis to predict component, interconnect, and system performance and optimize design around established requirements.
- Assist in conducting critical tests of various kinds to validate performance of designs to requirements.
- Participate in supplier and partner performance to ensure compliance to requirements.
- Support senior engineers to provide guidance and support to resolve complex issues throughout product lifecycle.
- Support project management by coordinating development of work statement, budget, schedule, and conducting appropriate reviews.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry.
- 2 or more years of related work experience or equivalent combination of technical education and experience.
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance; U.S. Citizenship required.
- Experience with design, integration, and test of electrical systems.
- Experience with RF measurements and electronics laboratory instrumentation.
- Experience with product configuration management.
- Experience with high‑frequency RF, digital, power and analog test systems.
- Experience managing/leading engineering projects.
- Experience effectively communicating and collaborating on multi‑discipline teams.

Pay Range: $98,600 – $133,400. Total Rewards package includes competitive base pay, variable compensation, health insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, retirement savings plans, life and disability insurance, and paid/unpaid time off.
