Prescreen Questions:

Job Description Summary:
Provides hands-on support to Engineering/Production/Manufacturing by performing activities such as, test, check-out, modification, fabrication, and assembly of electro/mechanical systems. Applications may include electronic circuits, power distribution, life/vehicle critical safety systems and battery systems. Work is performed from schematics, diagrams, written descriptions, layouts, or defined plans to perform testing, checkout, and trouble-shooting functions. Performs operational test and fault isolation on systems and equipment.

Assists in determining methods or actions to remedy malfunctions. Performs work in both Laboratory setting as well as work on manufacturing floor or on vehicle depending on manufacturing needs.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:
o Building different components and assemblies for all groups across
*** in all different environments (development, test and flight).
o Assisting with assembly of new and updated designs by working directly with engineering to determine best practices for assembly.
o Giving regular input on manufacturing improvement opportunities or build changes leading to more efficient assembly.
o Serve both internal and external customers across multiple systems and multiple platforms; each Technician is a valued part of the chain that supports safe human spaceflight.
o A focus on safety, collaborative teamwork, and quality allows us to work together to determine the best path forward, balancing speed and safety to create high-quality components that will propel future astronauts and payloads into space for the improvement of mankind.

Experience with applying torque to fasteners/components.
o Fabricating, terminating, and repair/testing of wire harnesses.
o 3 or more years’ experience in Aerospace Avionics or related fields.
o Experience inspecting and certifying work performed to relevant standards and specifications.
o Attention to detail and passion for space.
o Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
o Able to lift 50 lbs.
o Ability to work a 40-hour work week (4x10’s) with occasional overtime to support launch schedules.
o Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.

Experience with application and removal of polymerics (staking, potting. Encapsulation and conformal coating).

This role is part of the Engines, In-Space Systems and Test Ops group and is in Kent but supports all Business Units and groups across all facilities.
As part of a hardworking team of technicians, you will assemble, repair, and evaluate electrical and mechanical assemblies for various spaceflight systems.
