A day in the role Morning: review the integrated test schedule, align with mechanical, software, electrical, and systems peers, and finalize procedures for a hardware-in-the-loop run. Midday: bring up DAQ hardware you designed and configured, tune instrumentation, and launch automated Python routines to capture, process, and visualize live data. Afternoon: troubleshoot a signal integrity anomaly, distill findings into actionable recommendations for the design team, and archive test artifacts with meticulous documentation for upcoming reviews and audits.
Evening: prep configurations for the next ground or flight test campaign to ensure quality and safety standards are met without compromise.
What you’ll doOwn planning and execution of integrated system tests focused on electrical subsystems across our launch vehicles.
Design, implement, and optimize measurement and DAQ architectures to deliver accurate, reliable test data.
Develop and maintain Python-based automation for data capture, test execution, and post-processing analytics.
Collaborate closely with mechanical, electrical, software, and systems engineering to craft comprehensive test plans and procedures.
Rapidly troubleshoot and resolve issues in electrical and DAQ systems during live testing.
Analyze results, document insights, and recommend design improvements that elevate performance and reliability.
Support both ground and flight-testing campaigns while upholding program safety and quality requirements.
Maintain rigorous records of setups, procedures, and results to support reviews and formal audits.
What you bring
Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related discipline.
5+ years in electrical test engineering, ideally in aerospace or a closely related field.
Hands-on expertise with DAQ, instrumentation, and control systems.
Proficiency in Python for automation, data handling, and scripting.
Depth in system-level testing, troubleshooting, and failure analysis.
Proven success working within multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Exceptional analytical thinking, communication, and documentation skills.
Ability to work onsite in Kent, WA.Schedule and work environment
This role requires flexibility in shift availability; weekend schedules may occur. The position is full-time (approximately 40 hours/week) with overtime as needed to meet mission milestones.
