Environmental Technician

An environmental services company is currently hiring for an Environmental Technician. This position will be fully onsite with our client in Kent, WA location. This is a hands-on, field-based role supporting hazardous waste handling, industrial cleaning, and environmental services. Pay - $23.25/hour

Location - Kent, WA (Fully onsite, outdoor work environment)

Schedule - Current schedule is 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM with potential shift changes to 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM or 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM based on business needs

Responsibilities

- Safely consolidate, treat, store, pack, transport, and dispose of hazardous waste following environmental regulations and company procedures

- Perform industrial cleaning and pressure washing in facility and outdoor environments

- Support wastewater treatment operations and material handling processes

- Assist with spill response including containment, cleanup, and proper disposal

- Perform general labor duties such as site cleanup, yard work, and facility maintenance

- Complete documentation accurately and on time in compliance with regulatory standards

- Operate equipment safely in industrial and field environments

- Follow all safety protocols and properly use personal protective equipment

- Work outdoors in varying weather conditions and indoors in non-climate-controlled spaces

- Support additional operational tasks as assigned

Qualification Requirements

- 2+ years of experience working with hazardous materials or in an environmental or industrial setting

- High school diploma or GED required

- Experience with general labor, site cleanup, or field work

- Ability to safely operate equipment and follow instructions

- Strong attention to detail for accurate documentation

- Ability to work in outdoor environments year-round

- Ability to wear required PPE including respirator, hard hat, gloves, and steel-toed boots

- Ability to read labels, documentation, and respond to safety alarms

Disqualifiers

- No experience working with hazardous materials or in industrial or environmental settings

- Unwilling to work outdoors in all weather conditions

- Unwilling to consistently wear required PPE

- Inconsistent work history in labor-based roles

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.25 - $23.25/hr.
