Mechanical Test Engineer II – Space Systems

Help test the next generation of spaceflight hardware.

We're partnering with an industry‑leading aerospace company seeking a Test Engineer II to support the development, qualification, and production testing of advanced launch vehicle systems. This is an opportunity to work on cutting‑edge hardware that is helping shape the future of space transportation.

What You'll Do

As a Test Engineer II, you'll own the planning and execution of component and subsystem test campaigns from fabrication through qualification and delivery.

Responsibilities include:
  • Plan and execute development, qualification, and production testing of mechanical, hydraulic, cryogenic, pneumatic, and electromechanical systems.
  • Develop, maintain, and execute detailed test procedures.
  • Partner with design, manufacturing, and operations teams to ensure successful test execution.
  • Collaborate with tooling and equipment teams to develop custom test hardware.
  • Analyze test data and document results with clear technical recommendations.
  • Drive improvements in testing efficiency while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • 3+ years of experience with component or system testing and data analysis.
  • High‑pressure hydraulic, pneumatic, or cryogenic systems
  • Valves, regulators, actuators, fittings, and fluid components
  • Sensors, instrumentation, and data acquisition systems
  • Experience in aerospace, aviation, defense, motorsports, energy, or another highly engineered industry.
  • Environmental testing (proof, leak, vibration, thermal, etc.)
