Job Overview
As part of the Branch Banking team, the Financial Center Banker will acquire in-depth knowledge of Northwest products and services to provide financial options to clients through a consultative approach while expanding the banking relationship. The role involves connecting customers with Northwest products and services, opening accounts, identifying financial needs, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience.
Essential Functions- Performance Metrics:
Meet or exceed performance targets related to customer satisfaction, product sales, and financial wellness conversations. - Financial Needs Assessment:
Conduct comprehensive financial assessments for customers to identify areas for improvement and opportunities for growth. Analyze customer accounts, transactions, and behaviors to offer personalized recommendations. - Operational Soundness:
Ensure compliance with all banking regulations, policies, and procedures; provide leadership while ensuring efficiency and accuracy in all operational activities and financial center security; proactively identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance operational effectiveness. - Leadership Portraying the Northwest Bank Culture:
Deliver exceptional customer service, address concerns promptly, and turn negative experiences into positive ones. - Customer Engagement:
Initiate proactive conversations to build rapport and understand financial objectives; use active listening to uncover opportunities for financial well‑being. - Relationship Building:
Build long‑term relationships, provide ongoing support and follow‑up, anticipate needs, and proactively offer guidance. - Compliance and Regulations:
Adhere to all bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance and mitigate risk; maintain confidentiality and protect customer information. - Technology:
Navigate Microsoft Office, department software, and other tools to maximize efficiency. - Teamwork and Security:
Work as part of a team, use on‑site equipment responsibly, adhere to security and dual‑control processes, and handle daily branch tasks and opening/closing responsibilities. - Additional Duties:
Complete other duties and special projects as requested by management.
- Establish effective working relationships and participate in problem solving and decision making.
- Present and express ideas clearly in oral and written formats appropriate to the audience.
- Actively listen to achieve understanding and facilitate open exchange of ideas.
- Establish courses of action and use tracking systems to monitor progress and manage resources.
- Make correct decisions using perceptive, analytical processes and good judgment in gray areas.

- Education:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. - Work Experience:
