Requirements:

• Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) or be CCC eligible; must hold current state license as applicable.
• Proof of current CPR certification.
• Current driver's license.
• Reliable transportation and insurance.
• 1 year clinical experience in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Experience in a home care environment (preferred).

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Conduct evaluations and assessments to identify speech and language needs.
• Establish and implement a Plan of Care (POC) to address functional speech defects.
• Administer speech therapy using specialized techniques and equipment.
• Recommend communication devices and aids as necessary.
• Collaborate with physicians and staff to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Document patient progress and continuing treatment needs.
• Provide education to patients and families regarding therapy and resources.
• Identify additional service needs for patients and families, making appropriate referrals.
• Supervise home health aides in tasks related to the speech-language therapy Plan of Care (POC).
• Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and case conferences as required.
