Robert Half is seeking an experienced Systems Administrator to support a client in the manufacturing industry with a critical Active Directory hardening initiative. This role will be heavily focused on the administration, security, and hardening of the organization's on-premises Active Directory environment.
The ideal candidate will bring deep, hands-on Active Directory expertise, particularly with Active Directory Certificate Services (ADCS/PKI) and Kerberos configuration. This position will primarily support project-based Active Directory initiatives rather than general day-to-day systems administration.
Duration: 2–4-month contract; potential to extend

Responsibilities
- Support the administration, maintenance, and hardening of the on-premises Active Directory environment.
- Execute Active Directory security and hardening initiatives to strengthen the organization's infrastructure.
- Configure, administer, and troubleshoot Active Directory Certificate Services (ADCS) and PKI.
- Configure and troubleshoot Kerberos authentication within the Active Directory environment.
- Identify and remediate Active Directory security vulnerabilities and configuration issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex Active Directory-related issues and tickets.
- Support upcoming projects and initiatives related to Active Directory hardening, authentication, and security.
- Maintain and support the organization's Microsoft-based infrastructure.
- Assist with Microsoft 365 administration and troubleshooting as needed.
- Support Active Directory changes associated with employee onboarding, offboarding, and account modifications.
- Partner with internal technical teams to ensure Active Directory configurations align with security and infrastructure best practices.
