The Maintenance Technician provides support and is accountable for delivering on our commitments to our residents. This includes quality move-ins, residential satisfaction, expedited service, and personal attention to the resident. The Maintenance Technician responds to residents' service needs and helps deliver superior customer service.
Essential duties- Prepares make‑ready apartments, which may include painting, carpet repairs, cleaning, general repairs, housekeeping duties, and tasks to provide a quality move-in experience.
- Responds to resident requests in a timely manner and with a professional attitude.
- Maintains knowledge of maintenance functions such as plumbing, HVAC, basic electrical, carpentry, painting, and snow removal (if applicable).
- Maintains grounds, pools/hot tubs, common areas, and dog park amenities to keep them clean, operational, and safe for residents.
- On‑call scheduling may be required to respond to after-hours emergencies.
- Reports maintenance concerns on vacant units, models, and common areas to the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Performs maintenance as scheduled by the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Ensures compliance with state, local, and federal fair housing laws.
- Attends and participates in training programs as required by Cushman & Wakefield.
- Performs all duties in a timely manner and delivers superior customer service while representing the company professionally.
- Maintains a professional appearance in Cushman & Wakefield uniform per standards.
- Adheres to safety procedures and safeguards all company tools and equipment.
- Maintains punctual on-site attendance and reports any tardiness or attendance issues to the supervisor.
- Performs other related duties as required or assigned.
- Valid Driver's license; EPA 608 - Minimum Type II and CPO or local city certificate as required
- Ability to read and understand documents such as policy manuals, safety rules, and operating and maintenance instructions
- Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages and interpret basic graphs
- Ability to solve problems involving several known variables in routine situations
- Ability to follow written, oral, or diagrammed instructions with sound judgment
- Strong math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division in all units of measure)
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Commitment to safety procedures
- High School Diploma, GED, or Vocational/Technical training
- 1+ years of related experience
This role operates in a professional office/residential property environment. Regularly required to travel between properties and may encounter varying weather conditions.
Physical demandsEmployee may need to stand and walk for extended periods, ascend/descend stairs, ladders, or step stools, and travel between buildings. May be required to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally and frequently, and up to 100 pounds of force to move objects. Travel up to 10% of the time.

Compensation and benefitsThe compensation range is $22.10 – $26.00 per hour. Cushman & Wakefield provides eligible employees with a comprehensive benefits package, subject to eligibility and location.
