Inspector
Pay: $23-25/Hour
Shift: 7am-3:30pm

Kent, WA
The role of an Inspector involves a combination of inspection, shipping, and warehouse administration duties. The candidate must be able to read blueprints, and be proficient in Excel for creating certifications for compliance. The position involves working in a fast-paced shipping department, performing visual inspections, boxing, and other warehouse administrative functions.
Responsibilities- Inspect High Tower parts for coating completeness with no metal showing.
- Sort parts into three categories: good, touch-up, or rejected.
- Perform in-house touch-ups as necessary.
- Log quantities of good, touch-up, and rejected parts in the Traveler.
- Package approved parts into paper bags of 200 parts and weigh them.
- Remove 8 parts from each bag for testing, leaving 192 parts in the paper bag.
- Create labels for all bags and print Certifications of Compliance using Word.
- Track Traveler and shipping data in a simple Excel document.
- Review Primer and Solgel certifications from High Tower, ensure alignment, and log shipments in the Gil Calendar.
- Deliver completed items to the shipping department.
- Proficient in basic computer skills.
- Experience in reading and interpreting complex blueprints and engineering requirements.
- Experience with shop math skills including trigonometry and dimension calculation.
- Basic understanding of BQMS processes and procedures.
- Basic knowledge of machine shop and aerospace assembly terminology.
- Completion of Bushing and Bearing Installation certification/evaluation.
- Extensive knowledge of inspection measuring equipment such as micrometers, height gauges, and dial indicators.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds infrequently.
Skills & Qualifications
- 2-3 years of recent aircraft machine shop experience.
- Ability to read and comprehend basic instructions and write simple correspondence.
- Ability to understand technical and engineering material and communicate effectively.
- Mathematical skills including probability, statistical inference, plane and solid geometry, and trigonometry.
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate attention to detail.

Work EnvironmentThe responsibilities are performed in a general office, manufacturing, and plant floor environment. Safety is a priority, with requirements to wear safety shoes, hearing protection, respirators, face shields, and other personal protective equipment to mitigate hazards associated with mechanical parts. Travel is not required for this position.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.00 – $23.00/hr.
