Hytek production is open 24 hours per day. Normal Shifts are as follows: 1st shift (Monday - Friday, 6:00 a.m.
- 2:30 p.m.), 2nd shift (Monday - Friday, 2:00 p.m.
- 10:30 p.m.), 3rd shift (Sunday - Friday, 10:00 p.m.
- 6:30 a.m.)
Salary Range for position: $21.75 - $40.00. The pay range and total compensation package listed above is the expected pay offered for this position at the start of employment. Your pay will be based on multiple factors, including and not limited to your relevant experience level, and skillset while balancing internal equity relative to other employees. Employees in this position use a variety of media to blast parts in preparation for a variety of surface finishes. Blasters may be required to join the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) DOT Drug & Alcohol Testing Program. Blasters perform operations in accordance with Military, Industry and OEM specifications.
FAA DOT Drug & Alcohol Testing Program requires an initial pre-employment drug test including a screen for THC, subject to quarterly Drug & BAT testing.

- Follow technique card, customer Purchase Orders and drawings, and instructions from experienced operators; apply maskants as required.
- Prepare parts prior to operations; use proper tooling and fixtures, when applicable.
- Legibly sign off on work once completed and Operator Self Verification inspection has occurred.
- General review of paperwork and Operator Self Verification inspection of job to ensure all previous operations were completed. Notify supervisor and Quality Assurance if any errors.
- Knowledge of pre and post cleaning surface finish requirements.
- Familiar with Quality Assurance requirements & rework procedures.
- Be familiar with engineering drawing notations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Must have a regular and dependable attendance record.
- Ability to read/write communicate in English with other employees, customers, and auditors.
- Required to participate in annual hearing conservation testing and eye exams.
Ability to wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, hearing protection, and other PPE based upon requirements in working area. - Must be authorized to work in the U.S. An export license will be required to work in all areas of the facility.
1-2 years in a manufacturing environment a plus.
Essential Mental/Physical Demands- Ability to lift occasionally: (floor to knee) 114 lbs., (waist to waist) 63 lbs., (floor, knee to waist) 75 lbs., (waist to shoulder) 30 lbs.
