Production Planning Intern
The Production Planner participates in the development and refinement of production schedules. The Production Planner directly tracks and analyzes new and ongoing orders, implementing production changes as required, while balancing inventory quantities. This position works closely with procurement to maintain satisfactory levels of raw materials to meet production objectives.
Functions and Responsibilities- Identify common raw material and component requirements for production from engineering and production specifications.
- Ensure accurate item master schedules and bill of materials.
- Communicate and advise management of the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials, and services are provided as needed and to recommend production standards and manufacturing methods.
- Confirm materials supply is available to meet demand.
- Prepare work orders or purchase requests for the production or purchase of components or parts to support master production schedule, shop load, and inventory requirements.
- Coordinate materials movements and sequences between internal work and storage areas and/or outside processing, suppliers, or other division locations to ensure materials are available when needed and are shipped efficiently.
- Schedule and expedite the movement of parts to meet customer shipping dates. Project component
The ideal candidate will be a sophomore or junior majoring in Business, have excellent clerical, writing, computer and interpersonal skills, and be able to prioritize multiple tasks while working independently. Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel.

Pay, Benefits, Work Schedule Competitive Compensation- Pay Range: $18.42/hr to $30.7/hr
