Job Location:
Kent, WA 98032. Salary Range: $23.00 - $28.00 hourly.
Directs and manages production flow. This position involves the organization and directing of production personnel and processes. Assures production efficiencies, quality, and coworker safety objectives are attained. Must interact with other departments to resolve issues and develop solutions for problems that may affect production-related activities. Must be willing to work any shift, 8-10 hour workdays, and possible overtime as required to meet customer requirements.
Reports to and receives daily work assignments from Production Manager.
- Direct up to 30 coworkers, providing direction and coaching to help coworkers reach their maximum potential.
- Monitor the production work centers and equipment to ensure compliance with established goals and adapt production requirements and resources as needed.
- Assist Production Manager with scheduling and meeting daily, weekly, and monthly production plans.
- Facilitate training of production coworkers, ensuring each coworker or temporary associate has proper training before working in the production area.
- Ensure GMPs and safety protocol are enforced in the plant.
- Implement continuous improvement measures using a Lean Manufacturing Program, recommending and executing actions to improve production processes, equipment performance, and product quality.
- Track and chart each line’s production to goal on a weekly basis using Microsoft Office, using data to recommend and implement improvements.
- Identify major downtime factors, report daily issues and resolutions.
- Act as the focal point for incident or accident issues in production, conduct investigations, determine corrective action, and conduct training for all coworkers.
- Participate in and support all safety program elements including safety training, inspections, incident investigation, incentive programs, and other related activities.
- Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned as required.

ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, use calculator or 10‑Key. - Reasoning Ability: determine course of action when presented with new issues or repetitive problems.
The physical demands involve standing, bending or squatting, walking, climbing, balancing, talking, hearing, using fingers, hands and arms to move product or raw materials and operating equipment. Frequently lifting and stacking product up to 40 lbs, infrequently up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required include distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Work EnvironmentFrequently exposed to extreme cold and heat, moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, and outside weather conditions. Noise level nominally loud. Work surface usually concrete but may also include metal or outside ground surfaces.
