Baler 2nd shift

Information about the Company:
Cenveo is a leading North American manufacturer of envelopes. Hiring immediately for 3rd shift Baler for the Kent, WA plant.

Baler Pay/

Work Schedule:

* Pay $/hr (2:30pm - 10:30pm) + $.75/hr shift premium (2nd shift)

* Schedule:

Mon - Fri / Sat required during busy season/based on business needs.

Baler Responsibilities & Daily Duties:

* Under minimal supervision collects, sorts, weighs, paper for baling and recycling.

* Maintains and operates baling equipment in a safe and efficient manner.

* Tracks and reports quantity and weight of bales produced and shipped.

* Maintains storage area; loads bales onto trailers or containers for shipment.

* Unloads paper rolls (webs);
Willingness to work overtime as needed.

* Monitors condition of baler and reports any problems or need for repair/maintenance.

* Performs preventive maintenance on baler, i.e. greases and oils machine parts.

* Use of different lifts and hand truck/pallet jack to perform material handling duties.

* Receives packing order;
Assembles cartons/boxes and stocks packing station.

* Removes product from conveyor and manually stacks onto skids or pallets.

* Keeps record of boxes on production tickets/log sheets; reports discrepancies.

* Keeps work area clean during/end of shift;
Ensures conveyor belt is clear.

* Provide coverage for other positions as needed.

* Other duties as assigned/required.

Baler

Physical Requirements & Work Environment:

* Regular standing, walking, carrying, climbing, reaching, bending, stooping.

* Frequently required to lift and/or move up to 55 pounds with assistance.

* Exposure to production equipment, noise, hazardous materials (inks, solvents, etc.).

* Must be able to work in hot or cold weather;
Mental alertness to stop equipment.

* Ability to handle high-speed delivery output in a standing position for a full shift.

* Basic math skills and the ability to accurately read a ruler; computer skills.

* Basic verbal/written communication skills.

* Mechanical skills preferred.

* Position requires forklift /power truck certification.

* Minimum of 12 months shipping experience in a manufacturing environment.

* Professional work attitude/conduct;
Willingness to work overtime as needed.

* Proven track record with safety and quality.

* Complies with safety rules and regulations.
