Stoke Space is building Nova, a fully and rapidly reusable launch vehicle. Our team is mission-driven, collaborative, and empowered to take ownership of their work.
DescriptionWe are seeking a full‑time Entry Level Aerospace Technician (ELAT) at our new Kent facility. This role will grow with us while assisting with a multitude of tasks across the organization that require focus, attention to detail, and passion.
The position will be for a 36‑week period to start, split into 3 phases of 12 weeks each. Advancement to the next phase will be considered at each 12‑week interval. Full‑time employment will be considered after the 36‑week period.
Your first three months will be spent supporting the operations and facilities departments. With success, you will graduate into a technical function, choosing between assembly or fabrication pathways, and spend six months in two three‑month rotations learning new technical skills with the manufacturing teams.
Hourly rate: $25.00
Qualifications- High school diploma (or equivalent) completed or in progress
- Minimum 18 years old
- Safe working habits with attention to detail
- Experience with hand tools and mechanical assemblies
- Passion for learning new skills and desire to learn
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Able to lift up to 40 lbs. unassisted
- Able to stand for extended periods
- Able to stoop, bend, crawl, and maneuver in tight spaces
- Able to withstand repetitive movements, bending or twisting, handling, controlling, or feeling objects, tools, or controls, and exposure to distracting sounds and noise levels
- Previous exposure to machining, welding, or mechanical assemblies
- Forklift experience
