Operations Engineer, Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma
Responsibilities
- Oversee multiple production lines within the cell to maintain expectations for quality, productivity, and cost.
- Train and develop team members to support effective performance of job responsibilities.
- Support sanitation operations to help maintain a clean and food‑safe facility.
- Enforce plant rules, regulations, and procedures on a consistent basis.
- Review team performance and provide coaching to support improvement and development.
- Promote compliance with safety programs, including lock out/tag out, personal protective equipment, and confined space guidelines.
- Identify and resolve production bottlenecks while promoting continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure all quality and regulatory standards, specifications, and policies are maintained or exceeded.
- Lead projects involving root cause analysis and guide Kaizen events to support sustainable process improvements.
- High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Engineering, Food Science, Agricultural Sciences, or a related field preferred.
- 2 or more years of supervisory experience in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
- Experience in food processing preferred.
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices and plant safety standards.
- Familiarity with SAP and manufacturing processes.
- Experience with Continuous Improvement tools (Lean, Six Sigma Green Belt, TPM).
- Strong communication, interpersonal, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
- Willing to work weekends and flexible hours based on the needs of the operation.
- Self‑motivated work approach with a strong work ethic and proven record of leading teams and managing multiple priorities.

You may be required to walk around the facility, climb stairs/ladders, kneel, or perform repetitive tasks that require hand‑eye coordination. You may be required to lift or carry materials that can vary in weight and size. This is a manufacturing environment with large, moving equipment. Noise levels can be high, and temperatures may vary.
Annual Base Salary: $81,000.00 - $93,000.00 (actual offer based on location, experience, and skill set).
