Position:
Inventory Associate I - B
Location:
Kent, WA
Duration: 3 months to start with
Shift: B Shift, Monday - Friday, 3pm PST - 12:30am PST
Prescreen Questions- Describe your fulfillment operations experience, specifically inventory counting, receiving experience, and packing experience (Include years of experience and companies where you have done this type of work)
- Do you have ability to derive inventory requirements from Bills of Material experience? Please describe.
- Do you have experience receiving or shipping inventory? Describe any receiving, put-away, picking/kitting, or shipping experience you may have.
- Are you willing to drive a forklift with training?
- Are you able to lift 50LBs?
- Continuous improvement: evaluate, monitor, and escape a roadblock that can cause a defect downstream. Provide root cause analysis and problem solving skills.
- Proper use of equipment to support the role: operate heavy equipment, primarily PIT equipment/forklifts, electronic pallet jacks (EPJs), forklifts, reach-trucks and turret-trucks, following safety procedures and maintenance practices.
- Receive shipments: unload shipments delivered by carriers.
- Inspect shipments: visually examine packages arriving at the Fulfillment Center and determine if it is acceptable according to a standard operating procedure.
- Quality control checks: review requirements for each part number and process accordingly to the standard operating procedure.
- Documenting receipts: use tools and equipment to systematically upload, store, and follow standard operating procedures to completely close out a receipt or work order.
- Data entry: navigate and select fields within an inventory management tool to input data directly from the physical delivery of a part.
- Packaging: identify what type of packaging is needed for parts and properly wrap/store parts at any stage of the Fulfillment/Manufacturing workflow.
- Sorting and staging: move packages/boxes/crates/any storage container while it is identified and secure to prevent loss within the workflow.
- Labeling and marking: ensure all parts are part labeled, have identifiers outlined in the standard operating procedure.
- Storage assignment/auditing: properly store and use good judgement along with the standard operating procedure for the storage of parts that could be individual or in bulk; audit per a standard operating procedure.
- 2+ years of Fulfillment Center Operations experience, including an industry with receiving and inventory functions.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines: wear appropriate PPE, follow safe operating procedures, and participate in regular safety training sessions.
- Be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Have an attitude of world-class quality, attention to detail, and dedication.
- Strong communication skills within a highly technical environment.
- Mathematical and analytical skills to define problems, collect relevant data, and draw reasonable conclusions.
- Ability to derive inventory requirements from Bills of Material.
- Earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.
- Previous certified forklift experience.
- Must be able to work at least 45 hr/wk; opportunity to work ***/hrs ***/hrs per week.
- Warehouse/Receiving/Inventory experience in the aerospace or automotive industry.
