Duration: 4/20/26 - 10/16/26 (Contract to Hire)

Pay: $47/hr. on W2

Location:

Kent, WA (onsite)

Shift A: Monday - Friday, 8 hrs starting at 7AM PST

Responsibilities
  • Manufacture, assemble, and test custom machine hardware according to written procedures, engineering models, work orders, drawings, and specifications
  • Setup new production work areas, including tooling and equipment
  • Perform second‑party verifications and hardware inspections of engineering models, drawings, specifications, and written procedures
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and correct malfunctions by modification, rework, repair, and/or maintenance
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for recurrence control
  • Operate various material handling equipment including forklifts, overhead cranes, aerial lifts, flight vehicle and subassembly transportation equipment
  • Setup and operate a wide range of precision calibrated tools including, but not limited to, torque wrenches, micrometers, calipers, laser trackers, height gauges, and optical measuring instruments
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement projects for area safety and efficiency
  • Perform routine maintenance functions such as daily clean‑up of work areas to support 5S, FOD, and ESD
Qualifications
  • High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience
  • Interpret engineering models, drawings, specifications, written work instructions, test procedures and P&IDs
  • Experience operating heavy lifting equipment such as cranes and forklifts around critical hardware
  • Experience using common assembly and integration tools
  • Climb ladders/stairs and work in small, restricted areas
  • Work at heights on work stands and in lifts
  • Perform repetitive work, including lifting of items up to 40lbs
  • Experience with verbal and written communication of technical data, results, and associated tools (confluence, MS‑Office suite)
  • Industry certification, trade school training, and/or degree in a related field
  • Work effectively with a strong work ethic and close attention to detail in a fast‑paced dynamic team environment with rapidly changing roles and responsibilities
  • Experience in handling large/expensive components
  • Experience in assembling large tight‑tolerance structures
  • Experience in new product introduction
  • Experience in a team‑based Lean Manufacturing environment
