Title: Aerospace Cadmium Assistant – 3rd Shift
Reports to: Shift Supervisor or Value Stream Manager
Location: Kent, WA – onsite
Type: Non-Exempt, Full-Time
Schedule: 3rd Shift (Sunday – Friday, 10:00 p.m. – 6:30 a.m.)

Salary: $22.10 – $23.00 per hour (starting pay; subject to factors and internal equity).

This is a Cadmium Assistant position in our Cadmium Plating department. Employees will learn tasks to prepare parts for processing and may be required to participate in FAA DOT Drug & Alcohol Testing Program. The assistant will perform operations in accordance with Military and OEM specifications.

• Work closely with experienced Operators and Department Leads to complete work and prioritize tasks.
• Follow technique card, customer Purchase Orders, and instructions; legibly sign off on work after Operator Self Verification inspection.
• Review paperwork and verify job completion; notify supervisor and Quality Assurance of errors.
• Prepare parts prior to operations, including mechanical or chemical cleaning, layout, and racking; use proper tooling and fixtures.
• Understand pre- and post-cleaning surface finish requirements.
• Be familiar with Quality Assurance requirements and rework procedures.
• Be familiar with engineering drawing notations.
• Follow safety precautions to prevent injury.
• Develop new product processing and identify areas for improvement.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities to drive positive change in productivity, delivery, and service.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Regular and dependable attendance record.
• Read/write/communicate effectively in English with employees, customers, and auditors.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. (export license required).

• 1–2 years in a manufacturing environment—plus.

• Lift floor to knee up to 114 lb, waist to waist up to 63 lb, floor to knee to waist up to 75 lb, waist to shoulder up to 30 lb.
• Carry 63 lb occasionally; push/pull 59 lb occasionally; stand and walk frequently; sit occasionally; reach from shoulder and overhead occasionally and from waist frequently.
• Bend, stoop, squat, crouch, kneel, crawl occasionally; climb stairs and ladders occasionally; push/pull frequently; pivot, twist, pinch occasionally; grasp frequently.
• Maintain vision, hearing, and touch constantly; hearing protection may be required.

• Hearing protection required in certain areas.
• Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, and chemicals.
• Temperature fluctuations based on outdoor conditions.
• PPE required: safety glasses/goggles, aprons, rubber boots, gloves, respirator (provided).
