Machine Operator – Swing Shift
This role focuses on operating production machinery to manufacture small precision aerospace components. You will load and unload parts, monitor machines for proper performance, perform minor setups, and verify part quality using precision measuring tools. The position requires strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality parts in a shop-floor environment.
Responsibilities- Operate production machines to manufacture smaller aerospace parts according to specifications and work instructions.
- Load raw materials and components into machines and unload finished parts safely and efficiently.
- Monitor machines during operation to ensure they run correctly and consistently, identifying and addressing issues promptly.
- Perform minor machine setups and adjustments to support smooth production and maintain quality standards.
- Measure parts using micrometers, calipers, and other inspection tools to confirm adherence to dimensional tolerances.
- Tune tools and make minor offsets or corrections based on measurement results to maintain accuracy.
- Conduct visual and dimensional inspections of parts throughout the production process.
- Follow established procedures, safety guidelines, and quality standards while working on the shop floor.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and handle tools and equipment with care.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and resolve basic machine or process issues.
- Hands-on experience in machine operation or machine operating in a production or manufacturing environment.
- CNC machine operation experience, including basic setup and adjustment tasks.
- Proficiency using micrometers, calipers, and other precision inspection tools.
- Ability to perform basic inspection of parts and verify dimensions against specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when measuring, tuning tools, and inspecting parts.
- Capability to work safely and effectively on a shop floor, following established procedures and guidelines.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience operating Swiss machines or similar precision CNC equipment.
- Familiarity with aerospace manufacturing standards and quality expectations.
- Comfort working with small precision parts and tight tolerances.
- Ability to troubleshoot minor machine issues and communicate more complex problems to the appropriate personnel.

Work EnvironmentThis position is based on the shop floor in a manufacturing facility, working directly with CNC and other production machines. You will spend most of your time standing at machines, loading and unloading parts, and performing measurements at inspection stations. The environment is active and production-focused, with a strong emphasis on safety, organization, and adherence to quality standards.

Pay and Benefits:
The pay range for this position is $21.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
