Position SummaryCurrently, we’re seeking a machinist to operate Swiss machines and manufacture our BilokTM fasteners. This position requires making high quantities of a single part and ensuring all quality requirements are met.
Shift- Monday-Thursday, 3:00am - 1:30pm
- Monday-Thursday, 1:00pm - 11:30pm
The Machinist will report to the Manufacturing Manager.
Roles and Responsibilities- Run Swiss machines efficiently to maximize production.
- Load bars and tools as needed.
- Start and observe machine operations to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjust machine controls or control media as required.
- Verify conformance of finished work piece to specifications, using precision measuring instruments.
- Work in a team environment.
- Working with tenth tolerances.
- Capable of reading mechanical drawings.
- Familiar with a variety of measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, indicators, etc.).
- Demonstrated oral communication skills.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Machine Shop Trade School or Apprenticeship or Equivalent experience
- Knowledge of general machining processes using a wide variety of machine tools
- Experience working with Swiss machines not required but useful
- Understanding of CNC type machines and the processes they use (set‑ups, monitoring, change‑outs, etc.)
- Know how to maintain a clean and orderly work area
- Blueprint reading and basic math skills
- Good manual dexterity
- Ability to professionally communicate and work cooperatively with others
- Basic English language skills and ability to read, follow, and interpret work instructions
- Attention to detail
This position requires use of information or access to production processes subject to national security controls under U.S. export control laws and regulations (including, but not limited to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR)). To comply with those regulations, this position may require applicants to be U.S. Persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, U.S. lawful permanent residents, protected individuals as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)), or eligible to obtain the required export authorizations from the U.S. Department of State or the U.S. Department of Commerce.
Compensationand Benefits
Pay range: $20.50 to $21.00 USD hourly, based on a variety of factors. Employees receive 80 hours paid time off annually, 10 paid holidays, and may participate in the company’s medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance plans. Employees are eligible to enroll in the company’s 401(k) plan.
