Quanex is looking for Extruder Operators to join our Production night‑shift team located in Kent, Washington
.
An Extruder Operator is responsible for working as part of a team, as well as independently to run and maintain assigned extruder machines to produce quality window and door parts, to customer specifications, with minimal waste.
Hours:
7:00 PM to 7:00 AM on a rotating schedule that includes working Friday, Saturday and Sunday, every other week.

- Assists with set‑up of equipment and completes changeovers in a timely manner
- Produces and uses material identification labels/computer
- Identifies quality product prior to packaging
- Attends work on time and for scheduled hours each day
- Maintains good housekeeping practices in compliance with 5S standards
- Promotes teamwork by cooperating and supporting co‑workers
- Follows established procedures and guidelines, including standard work and safety policies
- One or more years of experience; manufacturing experience strongly preferred
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Shift flexibility, including overtime and weekends
- Ability to read and understand packaging layouts
- Ability to operate hand tools and other equipment as required
Expected starting salary: $22.00 per hour + $1.00 shift differential.
