Kent, WA - onsite

Schedule Type: 1st Shift

Hytek production is open 24 hours per day. Normal shifts are as follows: 1st shift (Monday
- Friday, 6:00 a.m.

- 2:30 p.m.), 2nd shift (Monday
- Friday, 2:00 p.m.

- 10:30 p.m.), 3rd shift (Sunday
- Friday, 10:00 p.m.

- 6:30 a.m.).

Salary Range for position: $21.00 - 25.00. The pay range and total compensation package listed above is the expected pay offered for this position at the start of employment. Your pay will be based on multiple factors, including and not limited to your relevant experience level, and skillset while balancing internal equity relative to other employees. Position

Summary

Employees in this position will use a variety of methods to prepare parts to process through the Titanium line. Assistants may be required to join the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) DOT Drug & Alcohol Testing Program. This position performs operations in accordance with Military, Industry, and OEM specifications.

* FAA DOT Drug & Alcohol Testing Program requires an initial pre-employment drug test including a screen for THC, subject to quarterly Drug & BAT testing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with experienced Operators to complete work and prioritize tasks.
  • Learn to follow shop traveler, technique card, customer Purchase Orders, and instructions from experienced Operators.
  • Learn general review of paperwork to ensure all previous operations were completed. Notify supervisor and Quality Assurance if any errors.
  • Learn to prepare parts prior to operations including mechanical or chemical cleaning.
  • Learn to perform pre and post cleaning surface finish requirements.
  • Learn to follow Quality Assurance requirements.
  • Must follow safety precautions as trained.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Must have a regular and dependable attendance record.
  • Ability to Read/Write English in order to communicate with other employees, customers, and auditors.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. An export license will be required to work in all areas of the facility.
Education & Experience
  • 1-2 years in an aerospace production and/or similar manufacturing environment is a plus.

  • Ability to lift occasionally: floor to knee 114 lbs, waist to waist 63 lbs, floor/knee to waist 75 lbs, waist to shoulder 30 lbs.

  • Ability to stand and walk frequently
  • Ability to sit occasionally
  • Ability to reach from the shoulder and overhead occasionally and from the waist frequently

  • Ability to push/pull frequently
  • Ability to pivot, twist, pinch occasionally
  • Ability to grasp frequently
  • Ability to see/hear/feel constantly - hearing protection required when working in the area
Work Environment
  • Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, and chemicals.
  • Temperature fluctuations based on outdoor conditions.
  • PPE required: safety glasses/goggles, aprons, rubber boots, gloves, respirator (provided by company).
