The Oberto team has an opening for the critical position of Sanitation Technician on 3rd shift.
SCHEDULE:- 3rd Shift
- 5 days, 8 hours per shift 10:15pm – 6:30am, occasional overtime up to 12-hours a day as needed.
$20.00 per hour, plus $1.00 per hour for shift differential pay for working 3 rd shift.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:- Responsible for the daily cleaning of raw processing departments and the weekly, Sunday, cleaning of finished processing and packaging departments.
- Meet company and USDA specifications by cleaning and sanitizing machines to ensure that morning production crews can start on time. This may include tasks such as prioritizing, planning, and moving quickly and steadily through sanitation duties.
- Heavy lifting 25lbs.
- 50lbs. - Spray machine parts and equipment with cleaners, sanitizers, and hoses.
- Mix cleaning solutions, abrasive compositions, and other compounds, according to formulas to ensure proper cleaning and sanitizing.
- Responsible for mixing and dispensing hand sanitizers.
- Pre-soak or rinse machine parts or equipment by immersing objects in cleaning solutions or water, manually.
- Inspect parts and equipment for cleanliness, damage, and compliance with standards or regulations.
- Perform lock-out tag-out on machines when working on and cleaning machines.
- Minimum 6 months to 1-year sanitation with large manufacturing equipment/janitorial experience preferred.

Work environment is that of a processing environment. This employee regularly works with hazardous machinery, materials, chemicals, wet floors and with wet equipment. This employee regularly works around high voltage, hot water, and steam
- Ability to frequently sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl
- Physical work including climbing stairs, pulling hoses, etc.
- Willing to work in a various-temperature environment
- Ability to handle heavy objects safely and with proper body mechanics. Frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and routinely maneuver objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to frequently talk, hear, and smell
- Ability to frequently reach with hands and arms; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls
- Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and the ability to adjust focus
