Job Description: Work in a fast-paced laboratory assisting with manufacturing operations to produce prescription lenses and eyewear. Responsibilities include operating machinery, interpreting work orders, inspecting products for quality, and adhering to safety protocols. Key requirements include a high school diploma, manual dexterity, and the ability to stand for long periods.

Key Responsibilities:
Duties

• Production Operations: Operate machinery for surfacing (e.g., blocking, polishing) or finishing (e.g., edging, mounting lenses into frames).
• Quality Control: Inspect lenses for defects and ensure accuracy according to the prescription (Rx) work ticket.
• Equipment Maintenance: Perform basic, routine maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment.
• Workflow Support: Assemble, clean, and prepare lenses and materials while meeting daily production quotas.
• Safety & Compliance: Follow all company and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements and

Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or GED.
• Experience: Previous experience in a fast-paced manufacturing or production environment is preferred.
• Physical Abilities: Manual dexterity, must be able to stand for 10-12 hours per day, perform repetitive motions, and have good hand-eye coordination.
• Skills: Attention to detail, ability to follow instructions, ability to read/interpret safety and operating procedures, basic math skills, and familiarity with computer systems.

Pay Details: $18.50 per hour
