Title: Aerospace Packager
Reports to: Shift Supervisor or Value Stream Manager
Location: Kent, WA – onsite
Type: Non-Exempt, Full-Time
Schedule Type: 3rd Shift, Training on 1st Shift
Hytek production is open 24 hours per day. Normal Shifts are as follows: 1st shift (Monday – Friday, 6:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.), 2nd shift (Monday – Friday, 2:00 p.m.
- 10:30 p.m.), 3rd shift (Sunday – Friday, 10:00 p.m.
- 6:30 a.m.)

Salary Range for position: $ 19.60 - $ 21.10.
The pay range and total compensation package listed above is the expected pay offered for this position at the start of employment. Your pay will be based on multiple factors, including and not limited to your relevant experience level, and skillset while balancing internal equity relative to other employees. Position SummaryEmployees in this position will package a variety of parts that have been processed through our plating and other departments in preparation for shipping to our customers. Maskers may be required to join the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) DOT Drug & Alcohol Testing Program*. Maskers perform operations in accordance with Military and OEM specifications.
* FAA DOT Drug & Alcohol Testing Program requires an initial pre-employment drug test including a screen for THC, subject to quarterly Drug & BAT testing.

- Follow technique card, customer Purchase Orders and drawings, and instructions from experienced Packagers.
- Perform Part Mark activities as required.
- Develop and understand technique cards.
- Legibly sign off on work once completed.
- General review of paperwork and Operator Self Verification inspection of job to ensure all previous operations were completed. Notify supervisor and Quality Assurance if any errors.
- Operate Forklift as required.
- Knowledge of pre and post cleaning surface finish requirements.
- Familiar with Quality Assurance requirements & rework procedures.
- Be familiar with engineering drawing notations.
- Be familiar with the safety precautions & know how to avoid injury to personnel.
- Actively participate in continuous improvement activities to drive positive change in productivity, delivery, and service. Be involved in Kaizen events as needed either as a participant or supporter.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Must have a regular and dependable attendance record.
- Ability to Read/Write Communicate in English with other employees, Customers, and auditors.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. An export license will be required to work in all areas of the facility.
- 1-2 years in a manufacturing environment a plus.
- Ability to lift occasionally: (floor to knee) 114 lbs., (waist to waist) 63 lbs., (floor, knee, to waist) 75 lbs., (waist to shoulder) 30 lbs.
