Position: 26-27 Habitat for Humanity Kittitas Co New Const Lead

Overview

26-27 Habitat for Humanity Kittitas Co New Const Lead. This is an Ameri Corps/Washington Service Corps national service position. It is contingent on funding and open until filled. Habitat for Humanity Seattle-King and Kittitas Counties builds affordable homes for low-income families across the King and Kittitas Counties. Housing instability affects thousands of families in our region, and our mission is to create pathways to safe, stable home ownership.

The member will serve on active build sites, leading volunteers through hands-on construction tasks like framing, siding, and finish carpentry. You will help future homeowners build their own homes alongside community volunteers, making a direct and lasting impact. This position will help you grow leadership, communication, and construction skills that align with careers in community development, nonprofit management, and the trades.

We expect to begin rolling review of applications and interviews in late July. Monthly stipend amount: $2,438. Additional monthly housing stipend: $350.

Member Duties : The New Construction Crew Lead will serve full-time on active job sites. They will assist with hands-on construction including framing, siding, flooring, and landscaping; lead volunteer groups on site; facilitate safety orientations; support homebuyer families during the build process; help manage materials, set up and clean project sites; participate in planning meetings to advance affordable home ownership in the community.
