Averro is hiring a Quality Systems Engineer for our local aerospace manufacturing client located in the Greater Seattle Area! Our client is seeking someone to support and continuously improve a robust QMS by driving compliance, audit readiness, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in highly regulated environments, enjoys translating complex customer and industry requirements into actionable processes.

• Maintain and improve the Quality Management System in compliance with AS9100 requirements.
• Support NADCAP accreditation activities and ongoing audit readiness for applicable special processes.
• Help maintain readiness for customer audits, third-party AS9100 audits, and NADCAP audits.
• Develop and maintain work instructions, process flows, inspection checkpoints, and quality documentation.
• Review and interpret customer, OEM, industry, and regulatory specifications and communicate requirements across departments.
• Maintain controlled documentation and internal specification libraries with up-to-date approved revisions.
• Coordinate customer quality requirements and ensure proper flow-down into manufacturing and operational processes.
• Plan, conduct, and document internal audits covering AS9100, NADCAP, calibration systems, training, and recordkeeping.
• Track audit findings and support corrective actions, root cause investigations, and effectiveness verification.
• Support CAPA activities including containment, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective actions.
• Analyze quality metrics including nonconformances, rework, escapes, and audit trends to identify improvement opportunities.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, or related technical field.
• 3+ years of Quality Engineering or Quality Systems experience within aerospace or another highly regulated manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of AS9100 Quality Management Systems and NADCAP requirements.
• Experience conducting internal audits and supporting external audits.
• Experience developing work instructions, control plans, and quality documentation.
• Strong computer skills using Microsoft Office products; QMS and ERP system experience preferred.
• Experience with in surface finishing, plating, anodizing, coatings, paint, or chemical processing environments is highly preferred.
