Job Description
Inspection/Quality personnel are responsible for checking parts to specification listed on shop travelers, drawings and visual product specifications, maintaining work area in a safe and clean environment, and operating and maintaining measuring equipment in a manner to preclude damage to the equipment.
Essential Duties- Use measuring equipment and inspection processes (height gauges, comparator, micrometers, etc.) to verify that parts and finished products meet the requirements specified in the drawing for dimensions, materials, surface finishes and all other requirements.
- Measure, validate and document findings according to drawings and procedures.
- Have a working knowledge of ISO/AS9100 quality standards.
- Inspect first piece, finished parts and 1st Article parts to print specifications using calibrated measuring equipment in a timely and routine manner.
- Perform acceptance testing, as required.
- Understand the proper operation of measuring equipment.
- Notify manager and other appropriate personnel of non-conformances and generate an NCR for distribution.
- High school graduate or GED (waived with experience).
- Ability to use computer and ERP system.
- Minimum 2‑4 years’ experience on machines or inspection.
For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $30.00 to $34.00 US Dollar (USD) hourly based on a variety of factors. Employees will receive 80 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays. Employees and their families are eligible to participate in the company’s medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are eligible to enroll in the company’s 401(k) plan.
