Job Overview
CMM Programmer & Quality Inspector III – Auburn, Washington
Non‑exempt, Full‑time
Hourly: $40.00 – $48.00 per hour

- Program and operate CMM machines to meet design and engineering specifications.
- Conduct advanced dimensional and visual inspections, including first‑article inspections and root‑cause investigations.
- Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and 2‑D/3‑D models to set up inspection programs.
- Analyze dimensional results, correct discrepancies, and document findings in ERP systems.
- Maintain CMM equipment and related quality documentation.
- Support AS9100 audits, answer audit questions, and ensure compliance with mandatory standards.

- Provide technical support to production and mentor junior quality inspectors.
- Assist with complex setups, machining operations, and special projects as needed.
- Communicate with personnel at all levels to solve problems and improve processes.
- Perform safety procedures, maintain clean work area, and conduct preventive equipment maintenance.
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent.
- At least 8 years of experience in CMM programming and operation.
- Experience in aerospace and commercial manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of AS9100, AS9102, and related quality systems.
- Proficiency with precision measurement equipment (micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, height gauges, sine plates).
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and under limited supervision.
Must be able to lift or move up to 10 pounds, reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours. Includes standing or sitting for extended periods, climbing stairs, and adapting to occasional pressure and stress.
Additional Requirements- Valid state driver’s license preferred; REAL acceptable alternative required for federal installation access.
- Must obtain and maintain applicable security clearances.
