Our Waterjet team at OMAX is looking for an experienced Quality Technician to perform inspections, audits, gauge use/calibration, and troubleshooting activities. To be successful in this role you should work well in a fast-paced environment, have the ability to quickly learn/adapt and possess good written and verbal communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform activities such as measurement, inspection, gauge tracking, calibrations, audits, and troubleshooting
Communicate effectively to internal customers
Understand and apply basic quality tools (5

Why, Pareto Analysis, Check Sheets, etc.)
Perform tasks using basic skills in mathematics, metrology, calibration, and quality
Provide support to other Associates in gauge/instrument use, troubleshooting, and repair
Be an active part of continuous improvement activities such as kaizen, 3P, and other lean events
Perform tasks following the control of non-conforming material process

Who You Are and

What You Bring:

18 years or older
High School Diploma or GED
Demonstrated competence in the use of quality procedures, measurement systems, and print reading
Accurate and well-organized work, good documentation, attention to detail, and communication skills (written and verbal)
Comfortable using computers, including Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively when relaying technical information
Desire and drive to obtain ASQ quality certifications
Demonstrated ability to work productively in a team environment

Experience That Sets You Apart:

CMM/PCDMIS programming/troubleshooting experience is heavily preferred
CQT or CQI Certification
Proficiency with interpreting standards (Y14.5M)
Ability to train and mentor others
Gagetrak
Minitab
Solidworks
6-sigma/Lean certifications
