Position Summary
Responsible for the operation of cash registers, providing customer service, and maintaining shelf stock.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Operation of cash registers
- Maintaining shelf stock; stocking the sales floor as needed and directed by store management
- Answering phone inquiries
- Maintain a safe/clean and well-merchandised store
- Provide excellent customer service to a variety of customers.
- Follow Goodwill’s cash handling policies and company procedures.
- Willing to be a team player in order to accomplish competitive deadlines and goals.

Requirements- High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 1–3 months of related experience and/or training
- Exceptional analytical, judgment, decision-making and communications skills
- Superior coaching, leadership and interpersonal skills, including the ability to build understanding and concensus

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Language SkillsAbility to read and interpret hard data and metrics. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
Mathematical SkillsAbility to calculate figures and amounts such as: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, and average. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra when working on spreadsheets. Ability to create and manage departmental budget.
Computer SkillsAbility to navigate through multiple program screens and easily use a computer, keyboard, mouse, 10-key and touchscreen.

Comprehensive understanding of all aspects of a Cashier.

Physical DemandsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is constantly required to stand, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. Will constantly lift 1–15 pounds, frequently lift 15–20 pounds, and occasionally up to 40 pounds.
