Retail & Store Manager
Leads all functions of the Dry, Disposables, and Culinary Equipment Supplies (CES) and fresh departments as assigned by Store Management. The lead ensures effective inventory levels, appealing and profitable merchandise presentation, and quality customer service. They hold Manager on Duty responsibilities and, in the absence of the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager, open and close the CHEF’STORE.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Ensure proper inventory levels based on store capacity, promotions, customer requests and seasonal merchandise to maximize sales. Complete all daily orders.
- Maximize departmental sales by driving and maintaining superior customer service, freshness, and in-stock status. Ensure daily date checks are executed. Train, motivate and develop staff to meet the same standards.
- Maintain appealing presentation and pricing standards in assigned areas.
- Use computer as needed.
- Stock shelves, set up displays, ring up merchandise and sales, and perform cleaning duties as needed.
- Open and close the CHEF’STORE in the absence of the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager. Perform Manager on Duty functions as needed.
- Model and promote the company's cultural beliefs.
- Ensure the facility is well maintained and safe for staff and customers, following safety policies and practices at all times. Correct safety issues and notify store management as necessary.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or required by Store Management.
- The incumbent is not required to provide direct supervision for any position, but may monitor performance and give real‑time coaching to support associates in achieving assigned goals.

Interact with employees at all levels of responsibility throughout the company. - External:
Interact with all customers and service providers.
- Work is performed in a retail store setting, open to the public. Employees may be exposed to inclement weather, moderate noise levels, and may use ladders or elevated surfaces. Temperature varies from ‑10 to 85 degrees. Physical interaction with customers is required.
- Three (3) years’ experience in a retail setting, restaurant, or customer service environment.
- Supervisory or Lead experience preferred.
- Ability to work a flexible hourly schedule, including holidays and weekends.
- Proficiency with computer use, word processing, email, and internet software.
- Desire and ability to deliver exceptional customer service.
- Ability to quickly assess situations, address issues, and make solid business decisions.
- Good common sense and logical thinking through all situations.
- Ability to build professional relationships with the client base.
- Motivated, self‑driven, and consistently analyze customer needs to make recommendations based on sound business knowledge and commercial acumen.
- Adaptability and willingness to help out to get the job done, understanding that staff may need to “roll up their sleeves” to provide fast, easy, and efficient service.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.

CompensationCompensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law (for example, state or local minimum wage thresholds). The expected base rate for this role is between $17.13 and $25 per hour. The starting rate is $20.67 per hour.
