Gear Quotations Specialist

As a Quotations Specialist, you will be responsible for quoting material from plans and specifications on construction projects. This may also include building a Bill of Material from a blueprint or working with a customer to suggest products on design‑build projects.

• Interact with electrical contractors, architects, engineers, and owners to suggest products for all types of construction projects.
• Negotiate pricing with manufacturers and customers.
• Act as a source of technical expertise within the branch.
• Collect and analyze quotations data to identify patterns of success or failure, broken down by product type, manufacturer, bid amounts, and customers.

• High school diploma or GED; and a minimum of one year of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Two‑year trade school or four‑year college degree strongly recommended.
• Background in wholesale electrical distribution or electrical contracting preferred.
• Understanding of the bid process.
• Plan/specification reading, product knowledge, and application preferred.

The expected rate of pay for this position is $80,000 – $95,000 annually, inclusive of base plus bonus opportunity.

Often sitting, use of hands/fingers, reaching with hands/arms, talking and hearing. Occasional standing, walking, and lifting up to 25lbs.

Close vision (clear vision at 20inches or less) and ability to adjust focus to bring an object into sharp focus.
