DescriptionThe Outside Sales Representative executes a proven sales strategy at the territory level, expanding sales revenue and driving new market share. The role is responsible for opportunity analysis, demonstrations, value‑proposition presentations, and close collaboration with assigned territory teams. After a sale, the Representative manages the entire sales process and client relationships. Teamwork and collaboration with sales support across multiple departments are essential.
The Representative adheres to all company policies and safety protocols.
- Identify new potential opportunities through qualifying, prospecting, research, cold calls, and referrals.
- Focus on discovering new opportunities and using sales activities and database management to track results.
- Utilize a database and the internet to research prospects and qualify leads, improving contact‑to‑appointment ratios.
- Apply learning to tailor product solutions to client environments.
- Assist clients in business assessments, cost analysis, and future growth planning.
- Develop new client contacts, review leads, and participate in inventory planning sessions.
- Provide information on product capabilities, technical specifications, pricing, positioning, and business case analysis.
- Maintain records of all account activity within the sales database.
- Identify contacts in accounts and conduct strategic calls.
- Build credibility through sold deals and ongoing communication; publish wins and case studies.
- Collect and report on client satisfaction and respond appropriately.
- Perform other job duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field (Preferred).
- 3 to 5 years of sales experience (preferred).
- Industry background and knowledge (preferred).
- Passion for sales, outgoing, and comfortable working independently and with an inside sales team.
- Proven track record of sales success in industrial supplies or a related field.
- Ability to remain composed in frustrating situations and guide customers toward efficient solutions.
- Excellent customer service and a friendly, positive attitude.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to multi‑task and prioritize in a fast‑paced, expanding sales environment.
- Computer experience and numeric competency.
Target 1st‑year compensation (Base plus bonus/commission) $90k‑$100k DOE OTE.

QualificationsPreferred Education: Bachelor’s or higher in Business Administration or a related field.
Required Experience: 3‑5 years of product‑related B2B sales.
