Overview
DACO Corporation, a leader in Warehouse and Material Handling solutions, seeks an ambitious, people‑focused Field Sales Specialist to develop and own the sales strategy across a defined territory in Western Washington and beyond. This role involves building relationships, solving customer problems, and driving revenue growth.
Responsibilities- Scout and develop new business opportunities within the designated territory.
- Cultivate strong relationships with clients and internal teams.
- Deliver product demonstrations and training to prospective customers.
- Understand customer needs deeply and provide tailored solutions.
- Collaborate with Inside Sales, Warehouse & Material Handling Subject Matter Experts, Engineering/Project Management, and other cross‑functional teams.
- Travel within the region, connect with customers, solve issues, and grow the account base.
- Strong presentation, relationship‑building, and communication skills.
- Self‑starter with organizational and problem‑solving abilities.
- Comfortable speaking in front of groups and managing sales metrics.
- Creative and adept at learning technical information.
- Willingness to travel primarily within Western Washington (up to 75% of the time).
- Experience in B2B, industrial/commercial, or material‑handling sales is a bonus.
- Background in industrial engineering or sales is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree (preferably Industrial Engineering) from an accredited institution.
- 2+ years of direct sales and/or product management experience.
- Familiarity with industrial warehouse design and material‑handling products.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to lift up to 10 lbs. unaided.
- Ability to sit for long periods of time.
- Ability to type, bend, and reach.
- Ability to travel up to 75% of the time.
- Ability to operate a computer and use a phone.
- Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle for travel.
- Maintain good driving record and pass a background check.
- Maintain personal vehicle insurance.
- 40 hours per week; 8 am – 5 pm, Monday – Friday.
- Hybrid arrangement; first 30 days in office for training; office attendance for meetings/training as needed.
- Flex scheduling as needed to support client commitments.
- 65,000 to 75,000 annually (dependent on experience/education level).
