- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing key customer accounts
- Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients, acting as the primary point of contact for all business-related matters, participate in trade shows, and industry events to strengthen business relationships.
- Identify new business opportunities within existing customers and actively pursue new client acquisition opportunities to expand market presence within the assigned territory.
- Drive sales of plastic bags and related packaging products to distributors, wholesalers, retailers, and industrial clients.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments to support strategic sales planning
- Represent the company during client visits, audits, and industry meetings
- Handle the complete sales cycle, including customer requirement analysis, product presentations, quotation preparation, negotiation, and order closure, after-sales support to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction
- Work closely with the finance/accounts team to track receivables, ensure timely collections, and maintain credit discipline for assigned accounts.
- Ensure commercial accuracy in quotations, margins, and contractual terms in line with company policies, local regulations and ethical business practices
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, forecasts, and account performance for management review
- Market knowledge on pricing and margin
- Expert levels of researching, networking and relationship building
- Accurate and effective pipeline management, with highly developed planning and prioritisation skills
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
- Industry awareness, with the ability to identify market trends, threats and opportunities
- Customer focused to ensure an efficient and optimised operations function and embedding a customer-centric team culture
- The ability to think creatively and strategically
- Experience of the plastic packaging market / industry
- Export processes, procedures and required documentation
- Computer literate in all areas
- Existing client network or industry contacts
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Marketing, or a related field
- 5-7 years of experience in sales, account management (manufacturing or B2B experience preferred)
- Ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities effectively
- Proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge in packaging industry and production processes is preferred
