Job Description

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol in Spokane, WA
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and support employees and visitors through strong customer service and communication. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $19.57 / Hour

Job Schedule:

  • Tue: 10:00 PM - 08:00 AM
  • Wed: 10:00 PM - 08:00 AM
  • Thur: 10:00 PM - 08:00 AM
  • Fri: 10:00 PM - 08:00 AM
What You'll Do:
  • Provide customer service to visitors, passengers, and/or staff by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a public transportation location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and/or local authorities as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of transit centers, parking areas, platforms, bus staging areas, offices, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and public areas, assist with directing foot traffic, and help to deter unauthorized entry, disorderly conduct, and/or other security‑related concerns.
  • Support daily operations by providing visible presence, assisting with customer inquiries, and communicating clearly with supervisors, employees, and/or first responders during routine activities and emergency situations.
Minimum Requirements:
  • At least 1 year of security‑related experience is required.
  • The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
