Salary Range: $24.00 To $30.00 Hourly

Assists in the construction, installation, and maintenance of communications towers and support structures and related telecommunications equipment. Tower Technicians work irregular hours, travel frequently, and work at great heights in extreme weather conditions.

• Climbsandworksoncommunicationstowers forthepurposeofinstalling,replacing,andrepairingantennasystemsequipment;performstowermaintenanceunderclosesupervision.
• Thebasicuseandcareofhandtoolsandmechanicalequipment.
• Knowsthe hazardsassociatedwithtowerclimbing,construction equipment,andworkingonor nearenergizedlinesand equipment.
• Theabilitytoclimbtallstructures(100 feetormore) with
  50lb.load.
• Analyzessituationsaccuratelyandadoptsanappropriatecourseofaction.
• Communicatesorallyandinwriting.
• Followsinstructionsaccuratelyandcompleteassignedcourseofaction.
• Recognizessafetyhazards andperformingdutiesinasafemanner.
• Maintains clean,orderlyenvironmentadheringtocompanypoliciesandindustryregulation/standard(s)(OSHA)
• Knowledgeofbasictowerriggingtechniques.
• Assistswithtestingprocedures(sweeps,PIM, fibertestingetc.)
• Proficientwithinstallationofantennas,RRH’s,ground kits,RETsystems.
• Runsrequiredlinestotopofthetower;groundscoaxlinesandbuildsdifferentsizesandtypesofconnectors.

• Clean Driving Recordandvalid Driver 'sLicense(amust) andreliabletransportationtoand fromwork.
• Mustbeabletoaccommodateoutoftowntravel,if required.
• Workingknowledgeofbasichandtools,mechanical equipment,andelectro-mechanical equipment.
• Current Com Trainorequivalentcertificationin Tower Climbing Safetyand Rescue  Certificationrequiredandwilling tobe trained assuch.
• Com Train, OSHA
  10, RF Awareness Training, First AID/CPR trained.
