Allflight Corporation is seeking an Experienced Aviation Maintenance Technician to join our team. This position is available for experienced technicians looking for full-time, or part-time 1099 contractor roles. You will troubleshoot, inspect, test, repair, clean, service aircraft components, equipment, and assemblies (flight control surfaces, thrust reversers, engine cowls, composites, and mechanical components) per Customer/FAA/EASA requirements/rules/regulations and approved data. Initiate and document any nonconforming materials, hardware, parts, assemblies, or portions thereof, according to specifications, processes, and procedures. Perform maintenance, preventive maintenance, repairs, and alterations to approved technical data.
Techs will be required to sign for work accomplished including troubleshooting, maintenance items, and ensure proper recording of all maintenance/repair tasks on company documents.
Techs will perform all tasks assigned by Lead Mechanics, or higher management.
Properly tag all repairable components.
Ensures that all repair work is performed according to procedures and per correct document revision
Comply with all company rules, regulations, and procedures set forth in company manuals and policies.
Keep a constant watch for safety, excessive cost of labor duplication, ensure proper and adequate equipment is used, acceptable parts or components are installed, and approved hardware or supplies are used.
Techs will be responsible for keeping the work area clean and may be required to maintain or repair company property from time to time.
Establish and maintain positive working relationships and collaboration with other employees.
Develop personal skills for continuous improvement.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)
FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate preferred. Please note your certificate number on your resume if you are certified.
Prefer a minimum of five years of aircraft maintenance experience on aircraft & repair station background.
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Ability to pass extensive security and background checks.
Must be able to work any shift, weekends, and holidays.
Knowledge of troubleshooting generally acquired through commercial aviation, military experience or technical school education combined with one or two years of related industry experience.
Technical knowledge and skills in aviation products repair or manufacturing
Should possess strong technical background and confidence in their abilities
Must be able to read and interpret maintenance manuals and specifications to competently perform their duties
Must be able to work alone, without direction, and with minimal supervision
Able to use basic hand tools and precision measurement equipment such as micrometers and calipers
Manual dexterity to grasp and work with tool parts and equipment.
Ability to climb and work from ladder or platform, and endure sitting, standing, bending or twisting for extended periods and ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Excellent interpersonal and ability to work in cooperation with diverse teams.
