Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Install new HVAC units, brazing, line sets, trimming refrigerant and adding charge.
- Install piping systems to include but not limited to drain piping, p‑traps, water lines, gas lines valves and actuators.
- Install coils, compressors, condensers, fans, motors, combustion equipment, and industrial air compressors.
- Perform startup, testing and commissioning on RTU’s, Air Handlers, VAV’s, Fan Coil units, swamp coolers and other Commercial HVAC Equipment.
- Test lines, components, and connections for leaks, brazing and soldering parts as necessary to repair defective joints.
- Perform preventative maintenance on the equipment such as vacuuming, cleaning, changing filters, and oiling parts.
- 5 years of experience in maintaining similar type and size commercial equipment, along with a current Universal CFC certification.
- Experience with ladders, roofs, and attics.
- Operate cutting torches or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.
- Understanding of basic electrical circuits, disconnects, electric valves, low and high voltage wiring.
- Strong oral and written communication required.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and perform duties with minimal supervision in isolated areas.
- Knowledge and experience in the proper use and safe operation of hand tools, equipment, and testing devices necessary to perform all work assignments.
- Valid Driver’s license and able to maintain a good driving record.
- Ability to stand, sit or squat for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift, move and carry material up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to climb stairs, ladders, and work at extended heights.
- Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), i.e., but not limited to Dust mask, gloves, eye protection and hearing protection.

Compensation Range: $55.24 - $76.43 Per Hour. The hourly rate is determined by the CBA/rate sheet and test results.
Benefits are provided through a local labor union aligned with the collective bargaining agreement.
