Journeyman Shop Technician​/Mechanic

Papé Machinery Inc., a leading equipment dealer in the Western U.S., is seeking a Journeyman Shop Technician / Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain agricultural, construction, and forestry equipment in our wholesale trade environment. You'll perform complex mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and diesel engine work, complete inspections and preventive maintenance, and accurately document service. You'll work in a safety-focused, team-oriented shop, receive ongoing technical training, and support key customers while building a long-term career with a family-owned company.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair agricultural, construction, and forestry equipment in a shop setting
• Perform mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and diesel engine troubleshooting and repair
• Complete inspections and preventive maintenance to manufacturer and company standards
• Use diagnostic tools, service manuals, and schematics to identify and resolve issues
• Document all work performed, parts used, and time in service records and work orders
• Follow all safety policies, maintain a clean, organized workspace, and use PPE properly
• Collaborate with parts, service, and sales teams to ensure timely, quality repairs
• Participate in ongoing technical training and stay current on equipment technologies
