Field Service Specialist, Commercial HVAC
About the Role
As a Field Service Specialist for Commercial HVAC and Chiller Systems, you will play a critical role in ensuring the peak performance and reliability of complex climate control infrastructure. You will leverage your expertise in mechanical troubleshooting and system commissioning to deliver high-quality technical solutions for clients nationwide, ensuring every installation meets rigorous operational standards.
Responsibilities
- Execute comprehensive start-up and commissioning procedures for commercial HVAC and chiller systems to guarantee optimal functionality.
- Drive system longevity by performing proactive maintenance and precision diagnostic evaluations.
- Resolve complex mechanical and electrical failures, including refrigerant circuit issues and control system malfunctions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address post-installation technical challenges and ensure seamless project handoffs.
- Maintain detailed service documentation to track system health, parts utilization, and performance adjustments.
- Act as a technical advisor to clients, providing clear insights into system efficiency and necessary upgrades.
- Uphold the highest standards of safety and regulatory compliance across all job sites.
Qualifications
Required Skills- 4+ years of professional experience in commercial HVAC service or maintenance.
- Advanced proficiency in interpreting wiring schematics and diagnosing electrical faults.
- Deep understanding of the refrigeration cycle and thermodynamic principles.
- Current EPA Type 1 & 2 Refrigerant Certification.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on professional client communication.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Prior experience in HVAC equipment installation.
- Technical certification or specialized training in chiller technology.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in diverse field environments, including rooftops and mechanical rooms.
