Job Coach – Kent – Up to $2,000 in Sign‑On Bonuses
Location: Kent, WA
Hourly Rate: $23.00 – $24.00 per hour
Job Status: Full Time
SAILS Washington provides quality community‑based support services for people of all ages and needs, including individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. In this role, the Job Coach works with a caseload of Community Inclusion and Individual Employment clients, delivering coaching, career development, and documentation to promote client success.
Responsibilities- Support a caseload of clients qualifying for Vocational and Community Inclusion services.
- Assist employers in identifying, setting up, and facilitating job placements for clients.
- Identify clients’ job interests and provide job coaching to improve job skills.
- Promote and facilitate social integration between clients and employees.
- Provide career counseling and behavioral intervention to enhance performance and workplace relationships.
- Utilize Dayforce and Set Works after 1:1 training to maintain accurate time entries.
- Maintain daily case notes and a two‑week Set Works schedule reviewed by Program Coordinator.
- Communicate with company managers, supervisors, and employees to support positive outcomes.
- Teach work skills at client job sites using simple, repetitive methods.
- Monitor client activity to ensure productivity, completion of assignments, and quality outcomes.
- Educate clients on company policies and procedures.
- Report regularly to the Vocational Services Program Coordinator and Director about client progress and training needs.
- Communicate concerns or updates to providers, guardians, and other stakeholders.
- Participate in client planning teams to develop goals and natural supports.
- Attend PCSP meetings and other client‑related meetings.
- Notify Program Coordinator and Director immediately of any problems with clients or employers to resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Assist in preparing daily/weekly job duties for clients to ensure success.
- Document client activities, progress, and support via weekly email.
- Maintain client files, goals, and send reports to funding contacts as outlined in contract.
- Record mileage accurately via the company mileage app.
- Promote vocational services in compliance with agency philosophy, policies and State licensing laws.
- Model good work ethics and performance, serving as a positive example for clients.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
- Previous experience working with people with developmental disabilities is preferred.
- Strong communication skills with clients, families, home staff, and administrative staff.
- Self‑motivation, organizational skills, flexibility, and meeting deadlines.
- Read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Proficiency with computers.
- Complete and stay current on all SAILS training, certifications, documents, and paperwork.
- Valid and active Washington Driver License.
- Pass Washington State background check.
- First Aid/CPR certification within 120 days of employment (training provided).
- Blood‑borne pathogen certification within 120 days of employment (training provided).
- Complete and pass a background check screening upon hire and every two years thereafter, or as requested.
- Own a vehicle with current auto insurance.
- Maintain an acceptable driving record per SAILS Washington policy.
